Worth the trip
Mapusa's covered municipal market is the everyday shopping heart of North Goa's Bardez taluka, at its liveliest on Friday when the famous weekly bazaar spills out with produce, spices, Goan sausages and household goods.
One of North Goa's busiest and most commercial beaches, Baga is built for buzz: banana boats and parasails off the sand, dolphin cruises from the creek, and a nightlife strip that runs late. Come for energy, not quiet.

A stretch of quiet village road in Parra flanked by tall, arching coconut palms, made famous by a scene in the 2016 film 'Dear Zindagi' and now a popular photo and slow-drive stop in North Goa.
St. Anne's Church at Talaulim (locally 'Santana') is one of Goa's great Indo-Portuguese Baroque churches — a towering, twin-spired 17th-century monument, famous for the Touxeamchem Fest where couples offer cucumbers praying for a child.

A long-running French bakery and all-day cafe tucked into greenery off the back Baga-Anjuna road, best known for buttery viennoiserie, wood-fired pizza and lazy breakfasts.

A sprawling, permanently-built shack on the sand at the north end of Baga, Britto's has been feeding tourists and locals platters of Goan seafood and cold beer for well over half a century.

A historic South Anjuna beach shack and psytrance institution whose future is in serious legal doubt after an upheld demolition order; status is uncertain and it should be approached with caution.

A popular, long-running seafood restaurant known for Goan fish thalis and a huge range of seafood. Note: despite a Sinquerim tag in some lists, its verified address is on the Calangute-Arpora road, not Sinquerim.
