Fat Fish

Fat Fish is a well-known North Goa seafood house, founded in 2012 by fashion designer Pooja Sarin and restaurateur Prashant Korgaonkar. The concept is straightforward and popular: authentic Goan seafood and fusion food, a huge range of what comes out of the sea — fish, prawns, mussels, crab, lobster, oysters — and generous, family-friendly portions in a big, busy dining room with plenty of outdoor space.

A note on location, because it matters for a listings site. Some restaurant lists file Fat Fish under Sinquerim, but its verified address across mapping and business listings is Agar Vaddo, on the Calangute-Arpora road in the Calangute-Baga belt — not Sinquerim. We have recorded the locality as Calangute to match reality and flagged this for review; the coordinates are approximate because different listings place slightly different pins along that road.

As a dining experience it is a crowd-pleaser: warm welcome, efficient service, a large selection of fresh fish, and Goan staples done well. The flip side, in reviews, is that it gets very crowded and can run pricier than its casual look suggests, so it is best treated as a lively, order-across-the-table seafood outing rather than a quiet meal.

The Calangute-Baga area is one of North Goa's busiest, and the wider second-home market here spans roughly 130 homes at a median of about 3.6 Cr, most sold price-on-request; the nearest smaller villa clusters sit inland toward Siolim and Assagao.
