The place
Green Bowl is defined by its descent: a few hundred steps down the cliff to a small, pretty beach with caves and clear water. The climb is the filter that keeps it calmer than its easier-access neighbours.
What to expect
Surfers offshore at the reef, a small crowd on the sand, and rock and cave to explore at low water. At high tide the beach all but disappears, so the tide table decides your day.
Good to know
Go at low tide, take water for the climb back up, and wear proper footwear. It is not a full-facilities beach.
