About Majorda Beach

Majorda is one of Goa's genuinely peaceful beaches, a wide, soft-sand strand that sees a fraction of Colva's crowds, and it's excellent for morning swims and sunset strolls.

Highlights

Pristine sand

Consistently clean and well-kept.

Solitude

One of Goa's emptiest beaches, even at weekends.

Long walks

Miles of unbroken sand invite wandering.

Lifeguards on duty

Watched, despite being quiet.

The Scene

The sand is wide, soft and golden, the beach is remarkably clean, and it stays quiet even on weekends. It's part of the long continuous stretch running through Betalbatim and Cavelossim, but Majorda itself keeps a quiet, local character.

Getting Around

Shops and restaurants are sparse, part of the charm. A few seasonal shacks appear November to March and run a little pricey (about ₹220 for a beer); umbrellas and chairs are for rent, and lifeguards are on duty.

Local Tips

Come early morning for the best light and emptiest sand, there's little natural shade, so a hat helps at midday. This isn't a social-scene beach; it's for people who genuinely want quiet.
