Karang Boma Cliff
The Bukit's most photographed cliff edge.
The place
Karang Boma is a headland where the Bukit's limestone falls away in a clean vertical edge, framing the coast toward Uluwatu. It became famous through photographs, and on a clear day it lives up to them.
What to expect
A short walk out to an open, unguarded cliff edge with a wide sea view. There are no facilities and no barriers, so it is about the view and the light, not comfort.
Good to know
There is a real, unprotected drop, so keep well back from the edge, mind children, and take care in wind. Go early or late for the light and the quiet. Access can cross private land, so respect any local arrangements.
Nearby
Uluwatu Temple, Suluban and Single Fin are all a short drive, so the cliff pairs naturally with a temple visit and sunset.
