Palolem is one of Goa's most beautiful and peaceful beaches, a clean shoreline of soft sand, swaying coconut palms, and beachside cafés. The sand runs darker and coarser than other Goa beaches and parking is a steep ₹140 for a car, but it stays well-maintained and quieter than the North's party strands.

The beach curves with soft sand lined by palms and cafés. Two water-front islands, Honeymoon and Butterfly, sit just off the shallows, and cows often rest along the sand. The sunset is consistently stunning, and the beach stays well-kept even off-season.
Parking is available but ₹140 for a car, higher than most South Goa beaches. In the monsoon most shacks and beach facilities close, so it's best avoided then.
In season, Palolem is regarded as the best place in Goa for kayaking, the islands are easiest explored by kayak when the sea is calm. Mornings are the freshest and least crowded; being popular, it fills at peak hours.
