At its best, authentic Japanese that exceeds what many expect in India: a well-described cocktail program, cold and hot small plates, miso beef tenderloin, chicken gyoza, tempura prawns and pork tonkotsu ramen all get named. But the food is genuinely contested, some found the sushi below par (a tuna nigiri billed as chutoro disappointed), portions small, and the whole experience overhyped for the price. Service reports swing from sincere and attentive to among the worst diners had.
Lean on the cocktails (widely praised) and the small plates and ramen rather than the premium sushi, which is where the sharpest complaints land. Reserve ahead, expect a premium price, and if you sit outside bring mosquito cover, big groups can also make the room noisy.
