When to go
Phuket is warm through the year, and its seasons are set by the wind and the rain. The driest, calmest months are December to March, when the Andaman Sea is flat and clear off the west coast beaches. Rain builds from April, and from May to October the southwest monsoon brings heavy showers and rough seas, with red flags common on the beaches. November is still wet, and the dry season settles in during December.
